SECTION 3 – HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION

EMERGENCY OVERVIEW

Flammable liquid in case of open flame. Vapour may irritate eyes, skin and respiratory tract. Polymerises when exposed to UV light.

POTENTIAL HEALTH EFFECTS

Inhalation or ingestion in large quantities may cause breathing difficulties and respiratory tract irritation.
Long term exposure may cause skin irritation.
Eyes: Irritation

POTENTIAL ENVIRONMENTAL EFFECTS

Before curing the substance has no direct environmental harm. After curing, the polymerised product has no direct environmental hazard. Large spills may be harmful to aquatic organisms.

SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF EXPOSURE

Vapour may cause irritation to eyes and mucous membranes. Prolonged exposure may cause respiratory discomfort or skin irritation.

EXISTING CONDITIONS AGGRAVATED BY EXPOSURE

None Known.

SECTION 4 – FIRST AID MEASURES

Inhalation: Move to fresh air immediately. Keep airway clear. If breathing is difficult, seek medical attention.

Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash thoroughly with water and soap. Do not pull bonded skin apart.

Eye contact: Immediately flush with running water or saline for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical attention.

Ingestion: Ensure airway is clear. Rinse mouth with water. Seek medical advice immediately.

Notes to physician: Treat symptomatically. Adhesive polymerises rapidly. Passive, non surgical separation of bonded tissue is recommended.

SECTION 5 – FIRE FIGHTING MEASURE

Flash Point: Flammable in case of open fire

Extinguishing Agents: Foam, carbon dioxide, dry powder, sand

Special Firefighting Procedures: Firefighters must wear gas masks and full protective clothing. Cool containers with water spray.

Hazardous Products Formed by fire or thermal decomposition: Carbon monoxide CO and carbon dioxide CO2

Unusual fire or explosion hazards: No explosion risk identified

SECTION 6 – ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

Personal precautionary measures: Refer to section 8 – personal protection. Evacuate personnel and restrict access. Remove ignition sources.

Environmental protection measures: Prevent entry into drains and waterways. Large quantities may be harmful to aquatic life.

Procedure for cleaning/absorption: Absorb small spills with sand or inert material. For large spills build containment and transfer to appropriate waste disposal facility.

SECTION 7 – HANDLING AND STORAGE
